I Always Remember...

telling her that she was my  "home" and that this song was a song about us. But no longer and that is sad to me. For 9 years she was the only "home" I knew and it was always a comfort to know that she was the "fixed foot" of my compass. But since she decided that she no longer wanted to be with me and was no longer "physically attracted" to me any more she has decided to move on and in turn made my world implode. Now I feel lost, confused, floating without my bearings and having no compass to lead me home. It is disappointing that I gave my all, that I did all I could do to try to save our home, but what can you do when in the end you are the only one wanting to keep things together?

I did the best I could have done. I did all I could have done. I did not give up.

One day I will see it, but right now I simply say, "This is for the best." without much belief. One day I will believe it.
